Striving to Present Everyone Complete in Christ (Col. 1:28-29)

FBC Woodsfield has an active Women's Missionary Union.  The WMU accepts the responsibility for nurturing preschoolers, children, youth and adults in missions opportunities.  WMU promotes the church's annual mission offerings: Lottie Moon, International; Annie Armstrong, North America; Ray Roberts, Ohio; and Bill Murray, Muskingum Valley Baptist Association.
Under the WMU umbrella, the church has active Senior Ladies, Women on Mission (WOM), and Girls in Action (GAs) ministries.  We also have a group called Comfort Makers who use their skills and talents to craft quilts for hospitals, women's shelters and others in need.  The WOM and Senior Ladies groups meet monthly.
Last year, WOM supported a variety of projects including: Secret Sisters; adopting a Missionary Kid in college here in the US; supporting the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox ministry; hosting and International Day of Prayer event; baking cookies for the Kairos Prison Ministry; coordination the World Hunger Fund offering and organizing the annual International mission study [Year in Review Download].
For the 2011-2012 church year: WMU Co-Directors are Sheila McKee & Susie Emery.  The president of the WOM is Darlene Quails; VP is Gwynn Stewart; Secretary is Angel Lumbatis and Co-Treasurers are Angie Dick & Shari Zimmer.
