In the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20 we are given the command, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." We have missions because we have been given a mission to share Christ with the world.
A New Church Plant
On June 26, 2011 the members of FBC Woodsfield signed a resolution which included the following, "That we would do all that is necessary to plant one church within 250 miles of our church by August 1, 2012." This is a God-sized goal that will only be accomplished through the work of the Holy Spirit. As this church planting process begins to take shape more information will be given. At this time please be in prayer for the church plant and consider how you can be best involved in helping us reach our goal.
Church planting core team members: Gary Brown, Larry & Susie Emery, Brian & Sheila McKee, Ken & Gwynn Stewart.
