Operation Completion is our church's complete ministry approach for discipleship. Discipleship is the process of becoming complete in Christ (Colossians 1:28-29). It is a lifelong journey of obedience to Christ that transforms a person's values and behavior and results in ministry in one's home, church, and the world. Here at First Baptist Church we are all committed to striving to present everyone complete in Christ.
Operation Completion strives to present everyone complete in Christ through a 4 phase discipleship process founded on 7 core values that guide the process.
Discipleship is an ongoing transformation of an individual's becoming like Jesus in character and purpose as he grows in intimacy with Him (Matthew 5:48).
Discipleship addresses every dimension of life (Philippians 1:27).
Discipleship is progressive in nature (John 15:4).
Discipleship is a work of grace (Philippians 2:13).
Discipleship always manifests itself in ministry to others (1 Peter 4:10).
Discipleship was intended by Christ to be reproductive (Matthew 28:19-20).
Discipleship is centered in the life of the local church, where the fellowship of other disciples encourages, teaches, and safeguards the believer's discipleship process (Hebrews 10:24-25).
